Hutson Guinn, 3b/1b, Class of 2023
College Commitment: Arkansas

Huge power potential and intent at the plate are what Guinn brings to the right-handed batter’s box every time he steps in. Guinn impacts the baseball with some of the best strength and juice in the 2023 class that plays with very high exit velocities off his barrel when on time. The bat is the carrying tool here with the ability to play either corner position defensively. Guinn’s power plays in game and is always a threat for a big fly or doubles to either gap. Recently playing with the 3n2 Sticks at WWBA Underclass World, Guinn made some of the loudest and hardest contact of any player there including the double in the video above.

Outlook for the Class: Guinn makes the eighth commitment for Arkansas in 2023 including the fourth ’23 from his travel team, the 3n2 Sticks. The Razorbacks have gone pitching heavy in the prep class with the 2023 crop as six of the eight recruits are pitchers. Kyler Spencer, Tate McGuire and Barrett Kent are the top three ranked commits for the Hogs and are all right-handers with very good velocity and stuff. Hayden Thomas is the lone left-hander with outstanding pitchability and a mid-80s heater. Guinn joins Ty Waid as the second primary hitter for the Razorbacks while each have plenty of raw pop from their right-handed swings.
