15u South WWBA Scout Notes: Days 1-3





Matthew Boughton (2025, Colleyville, Texas) is a very well-rounded talent in the 2025 class who already can impact the game in all aspects. He has very clean actions at shortstop with excellent lateral movement and glove skill to both sides. Defensively he has a good internal clock that complements sound footwork and a loose arm. At the plate the contact tool projects very well showing off an easy smooth stroke that he extends strong and covers the zone with body control. He has as good of a foundation a 2025 prospect has showcased and certainly a lot of quality skill to be excited about as he progresses.
