Troy Ueltzen (2025, Rocklin, Calif.) had an impressive showing on the bump for Alpha Black. It was a short outing for the right-hander, but his potential stood out immediately. Fastball ran up to 83 mph with some subtle arm-side run. Paired it with a solid low-60s curveball with average shape and depth, has a chance to develop into a prominent secondary. Has a projectable 6-foot-1 frame with athleticism on both ends. Looks comfortable in the box and on the hill. Noticeable arm speed from a high three-quarter delivery with good finish on his front foot. Ueltzen has an enticing blend of tools that were on display. Good name to know for the 2025 class.
