Carson Adomnik (2026, Hiram, Ga.) is a 6-foot-1, 155-pound primary third baseman, who also pitches and can play all over the field with a utility tool set. Adomnik would do just that this weekend in Marietta, as he played various positions for 643 Dp Cougars 14u, as well as turned in an excellent performance on the mound during the semifinals Sunday afternoon, earning MV-Pitcher honors for the 14u Major division. When all was said and done, Carson would earn the win and work five innings to the tune of four hits, one walk, and eight strikeouts. On the mound, Adomnik uses his plus size and strength to drive down the mound with keen mechanics and nice rhythm and timing between his body and his long and loose arm action that gets nice extension out front. Adomnik navigated through his assignment, mixing a repertoire of a fastball up to 78 mph with a changeup in the low-70s and a curveball in the mid-60s with shape, feel, and bottom through the zone. Staying on the attack all game long, Carson displayed nice pitchability and the ability to locate his mix as he filled the zone 70% of the time, while also finding the zone 86% on 0-0 counts, and worked ahead of a ridiculous 95% of the 21 batters he faced. A good athlete in all phases, Carson is off to a great year on the mound as he now has 19 punchouts over his first 14 1/3 innings of work.
