14u BCS National Championship Qualifier

Starting June 10, Fort Myers, Fla. will host 24 teams for the 14U BCS National Championship Qualifier, with one punching their ticket to the BCS National Championship.

The two-dozen teams will be split into six four-team divisions and guaranteed four games over the tournament's duration.

Canes Florida 14u Clutch out of Miami will be a team to watch, with five players ranked inside the top-125 of the country, including three aces in right-hander Kyle Krause and two lefties in RJ Cope and Aaron Hernandez.

Cope, currently ranked the No. 1 left-handed pitcher in Georgia, pitched 71 innings last season where he finished with a 4-2 record, 0.30 ERA and 102 strikeouts.

Hector Javier Alvalle Ortiz, the top-ranked player in Puerto Rico, will be representing the Canes as well. The two-way shortstop and pitcher has played over 50 games this year and is batting .373 with seven doubles, two home runs and over 30 runs. He is an elite pitcher as well, where he is posting a 0.84 WHIP with 62 strikeouts over 38 innings pitched.

The No. 1 shortstop in the nation, Yodelkis Quevedo, will round out the Canes' infield. Quevedo is a pitcher's nightmare. Over 78 games in 2021 he batted .391, crushed four home runs, drove in over 50 runs, along with being a problem for catchers with 30 stolen bases.

Florida Burn Tampa National 2026 will be one of the teams to beat in Pool B and should be due up for a deep run as well. The Burn will have two top-100 players in the nation in Wilson Andersen and outfielder Matthew Kerrigan.

Andersen, out of Tampa, Fla. and currently ranked in the top-10 in the state, has 28 hits over 29 games in 2022, to go along with a .373 batting average and 15 stolen bases.

Kerrigan, the No. 1 outfielder in Georgia in the class of 2026, batted nearly .500 over 36 games in 2021, while driving in 25 runs and six triples.

Come Monday afternoon, one team will be crowned champions and punch an automatic ticket to the BCS National Championship next month.

PG Florida Select Championship

Over 50 teams from across the Sunshine State will be making their way to the City of Palms, which will host the 2022 Florida Select Championship.

Kicking off June 10, four different age groups will battle it out in hopes of walking away with some hardware.

Fifteen teams split across three divisions will represent the youngest of four in 15U. Nearly all will begin their tournament run Friday, with six games being played throughout the afternoon.

A doubleheader will start things off with Scorpions Miami 2025 and Florida Burn 2025 American playing at Dunbar High School, while Aba 15u and B.I.D. square off at South Fort Myers High.
