Julian Sanchez (2024, Carmel, Calif.) threw a complete game for the Pirates, tossing 6 solid innings, struck out 8 batters and did not allow any walks. The fastball sat 80-84 mph with good life, generating a lot of swings and misses. Worked quickly, threw a lot of strikes, and attacked hitters early. Also swung the bat well, consistently made loud contact. Displayed a quick, level swing with great bat speed. Sanchez was exciting to watch on the mound.
