Florida Summer Select Scout Notes: Days 1-2

Starting on the mound for Florida Banditos 17U Black, Tyler Anderten (2024, Ft Lauderdale, Fla.) was impressive. Anderten is a right-handed pitcher who works out of a higher three-quarters arm slot. Anderten was sitting 80-82 mph with a fastball which showed good life and was working well up in the zone. Another pitch Anderten found success with was a tight breaking slider that showed some tilt as well, the pitch worked well away against right-handed batters and often caused weak contact and swings and misses. The last pitch Anderten showed in his arsenal was a changeup at 75-76 mph that showed some arm-side fade and paired well with his fastball. Through 4 innings of work, Anderten punched out 3 batters while allowing no earned runs and only a single hit and walk.
