Putting his tremendous hit tool on display this weekend, Ethan Bunce (2025, Stedman, N.C.) led C35 National to a runner-up finish Sunday and ultimately took home tournament MVP as well. The uncommitted primary catcher went 6-for-12 on the day, including three triples and a home run to go along with 4 runs scored, and racking up four RBI. Listed at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, Bunce has an abundance of present strength in his already mature frame, as well as plus speed on the bases, which makes him an extra-base machine when he utilizes his gap-to-gap power. Behind the dish, Bunce manages his pitchers well and shows a true feel for the position, holding baserunners at bay with his plus arm strength. Bunce’s strength and athleticism make him a very exciting player to watch, and he will only continue to get better as he puts on added strength and size to an already impressive frame.
