Jupiter Invite Scout Notes: Day 1

Justin Cosme (2026, Sharpsburg, Ga.) is a bigger-framed right-handed pitcher with a shorter arm stroke, hiding the ball well through the back. He worked up to 82 mph on the fastball, and the pitch had some arm-side sink to it, being a tough pitch for the opposition. He mixed in a changeup often that had tumble to it, showing depth to miss some barrels and be a good offspeed change of pace. Cosme also flashed a lateral breaking ball that had good horizontal, being a pitch he could land for strikes. The three-pitch mix was able to stymie the opposition and give them some fits.
