USA Prime Tampa Scout Wins Back-And-Forth Championship Duel

USA Prime Tampa Scout showcased all-around talent and versatility in its 8-7 win over 5 Star National Tallahassee.

Though USA Prime Tampa Scout took an early lead, it was a back-and-forth battle that built up to the very last frame.

First baseman Samir Mohammed contributed the most offensively, getting his team on the board first and knocking in three runners total. Sebastian Vargas, Preston Ricchini, Jordan Cox and Landon Green each added a RBI in addition to Mohammed’s efforts.

Green also took the mound for USA Prime Tampa Scout - mixing high-80s fastballs and mid-70s curveballs and sliders. Green worked 2.2 shutout innings.

By the time the bottom of the seventh rolled around, 5 Star National Tallahassee managed to keep the score close, but right-handed pitcher Eric Garcia racked up 3 strikeouts using fastballs in the low-80s and both sliders and curveballs in the mid-70s to hold 5 Star off from tying or taking the lead.

Florida Burn Scorches South Florida Giants in the Championship

Florida Burn 2026 Scout showed resilience in their 3-1 triumph over the South Florida Giants in the 16U East Memorial Day Classic Championship.

In the blazing sun, both teams showed excellence in their defense, but Florida Burn’s cohesion and mound presence prevailed in the end.

Pitcher Anthony Kanellos threw 69 pitches in the first five innings, striking out four Giants batters and topping out at 79 mph. At the top of the sixth inning, Kanellos was relieved by Ethan DeJesus who threw 38 pitches consistently between 83-85 mph, and struck out 5, bailing Florida Burn out of a bases-loaded situation.

“I was just trying to get the first pitch strike, beat them with the fastball or come with the slider,” DeJesus said, describing his mindset on the mound. “Pitching is the same. Every time I just come out and deal.”

Cole Travers scored the first run of the game with a RBI single in the bottom of the first. In the bottom of the third inning, shortstop Dylan Messina blasted a 2 RBI double to right field to extend the Florida Burn’s lead.

“We were playing like a team,” Messina said. “Moving well and it just clicked today.”

Florida Burn 2026 Scout will travel to West Palm Beach, FL to compete in the 16U Ultimate Baseball Championship - East happening June 17-20.

TBT FTB Phillies Scout Team American dominate in East Memorial Day Classic Win

Strong defense from TBT FTB Phillies Scout Team American guaranteed its 4-0 win versus Florida Burn 2025 Scout.

Left-handed pitcher and Miami commit Sebastian Santos-Olson led the way in the shutout, racking up 5 Ks in 6.2 innings. Santos-Olson used his arsenal of high-80s fastballs and high-70s curveballs and sliders on the mound.

On offense, shortstop and FSU commit RJ Machado contributed 2 RBI, one coming in the top of the first with a double to right field, and the other in the top of the third with a double to center field. Right fielder Brady Blanks blasted a solo homer to add on - with another run coming on an error from Florida Burn.

After winning this tournament, TBT FTB Phillies Scout Team American will head to Tomball, Texas to compete in the 17U PG National Select Championship happening June 6-10.
