Drew Turgasen (2028, North Liberty, Iowa) has been a hit machine for the Cedar Rapids Reds. The right-handed hitter starts from an even base with slightly open feet and a high back elbow with a high hand set, utilizes a leg lift stride. Uncoils well through contact and stays in sync with the lower half well. Uses a direct hand path and keeps the barrel flat through the zone. Showed feel for the barrel, consistently making hard contact and utilizing the whole field well en route to collecting eight hits, including a double, six runs, and eight RBI. Some gap-to-gap power upside as the tall, slender 5-foot-10, 140-pound frame matures and adds more strength.
