Chase Wolter (2027, Whitefish Bay, Wisc.) had a nice “welcome to the weekend” outing on Thursday to kick things off. Listed as a primary SS, Wolter got on the mound and delivered some really impressive stuff on the mound, and got it done on the mound as well — truly shining. Wolter has a 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame with long levers, a lean build, and athleticism present. There’s room to keep filling out moving forward, with projection remaining as he matures. Wolter’s a right-handed arm who worked from the wind-up with a sidestep into his leg lift up around the belt, with some extension and push down the slope. He had a medium arm action, hiding the ball well through the back, with a feel for his higher three-quarters release, repeating the actions well.
