15/16u WWBA West Scout Notes: Days 1-2

Justin Rodrigues (2027, Las Vegas, NV) threw a dominant CG shutout yesterday while also showing off his skill with the bat with four hits in two games. On the mound, the operation is clean and balanced down the mound. Lands hard/firm with a good block and really gets over his front side. Arm is loose/continuous creating quality scap retraction in the back and with some whip to a ¾ release. His fastball worked up to 84, sitting low 80s and flashing natural cutting action. His CB showed good depth in the upper 60s showing more 11-5 shape. At the plate, he’s athletic in the box with quick hands that throw the barrel on an uphill path.
