14u Select Festival Roster Reveal

Jheremy Brown
It’s a little wild to think that we’re entering year 9 of the 14u Select Festival and ever since that first pitch back in 2016, a lot has changed in the Festival world. From the birth of the 11u, 12u, and 13u games to the implementation of both a 13u and 14u National Showcase which serves as a key event in the roster building process, Perfect Game has continued to enhance the youth platform unlike any other in the country.

Victor Mederos (2016/14u) made his MLB debut last spring to become the first ever Festivaler to reach the highest stage and has since been joined by Jordan Lawlar (2017/14u) and Carlos Rodriguez (2017/14u) while the 2024 MLB Draft proved once again a fruitful one for Festival alum with 10 players in total who heard their names called, including 7 in the 1st round, led by the 9th overall pick Konnor Griffin (2020/13u, 2021/14u).

With all that said, let's dive into this year’s roster as 48 of the best players at the 14u level will make the voyage to Fort Myers, Florida for the 9th annual 14u Perfect Game Select Baseball Festival. Of those 48 players, 17 different states are represented as well as Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela, making for a true coast-to-coast event with players scattered throughout the country. Dexter McCleon Jr, Julian Martinez, Kaleb Foster, Caleb Alexander and Dru Wilson all did something that had never been possible before as they made the annual pilgrimage to the Select Festival from the inaugural 11u game in 2021 through this year’s 14u game and are the first group to do such.

Out of the 48 players, 19 are new faces compared to last year’s 13u roster, though four players (Robert Mascia, Konnor Briggs, Sammy Garcia and Luis Olmeda) all return after appearing in either an 11u or 12u rendition earlier in their careers.

As it has been since year one, the game will take place Labor Day weekend in Fort Myers at JetBlue Park on September 1st at 11 am EST and can be watched live via PerfectGame.TV or through the Perfect Game TV app. Follow along with all of the weekend’s happenings on X and Instagram with the @PGSelectFest account.
