Southwest Labor Day Scout Notes

Cody Croxford (2025, Peoria, AZ) had a strong summer and he showed no signs of slowing down this past weekend. He continues to add strength to his 6-foot-4 frame that is translating at the plate with some serious impact where in the final day of the tournament he had two no-doubt HRs. He gets to this power with relative ease and balance. Uses a simple/hanging leg raise trigger, coils well and gets into noticeable torso forward bend he replaces well in the swing. Barrel stays pretty neutral throughout the load staying flat to his shoulder where he then works it uphill into contact with out-front intent. The bat speed is now noticeably above average for his level. This looks like a steal for Central AZ, and I would not be surprised if he garnered area scout attention next spring.
