Patrick Dudley (’25, VA) took the ball in the starting role for the South Charlotte Panthers 2025 Marucci. The 6-4/200 LHP is a physical presence on the mound and showed an explosive fastball to go with the occasional slider and changeup to complete his 3-pitch mix. With a very linear operation, Dudley uses an inline arm path before accelerating a lower-3/4 arm angle creating life at the plate. His heater sat in the 88-91 mph range in his first inning with some ride and occasional run to the arm side. His slider was inconsistent on the day with open spin in the upper-70s and did flash a couple solid changeups with fade. The southpaw caused some issues for himself in the 2nd inning when he lost the zone and issued three free passes and allowed an unearned run, however. There is a lot to like with this South Carolina commit who went 2.0 IP without allowing a hit, he did walk 4 a
