There are three pitchers that most people looked to heading into this spring as the obvious college arms to come off the board first this June: Carlos Rodon, Jeff Hoffman, and Tyler Beede. The last name in that group, Beede, was perhaps the wildcard among them, and the one with the most to gain with a strong spring. On the flip side, all three of those pitchers, Beede included, have had both moments of brilliance and moments of struggle so far this spring. And, what we are left with is a convoluted top of the class. But, what hasn’t changed is that Beede still has a lot to gain if he can perform at a high level for the rest of this spring.
