Joseph Kelly is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Evanston, IL who attends Loyola Academy. Features a physical/compact build with noticeable strength in the upper and lower half. In the OF, showed athletic movements. Aggressive approach where he gets around and through it with quickness. Clean out-front reception with a quick regather where he gets off uphill throws from a H 3/4 slot with avg. strength and one-hop accuracy. At the plate, sits in a taller/relaxed stance with loose hanging hands over homeplate. Simple lower-half move as the hands/barrel stretch back a ton. Taller turn where the hands/barrel work direct with adv. bat speed for his level with a level finish. Some inconsistent timing but flashed some serious pull-side power during his round. On the mound, showed a balanced operation. Belt high lift into a smaller drop in driveleg and works on-line down the mound. Arm works loose/continuous to a lower 3/4 slot. Pounded the strike-zone during his outing. Ran the FB up into the mid 80s where it exhibited some natural running action. Mixed in an upper 60s, T70 breaker with shorter 11-5 shape that had solid spin. Flashed an upper 60s CH as well he'll slow his arm down on and that had some quality fading action.
