Billy Main is a 2026 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Hinsdale, IL who attends Hinsdale Central. Features a projectable frame with some lean athleticism. Ran a 7.04 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed fundamental actions. At times gets deep into knees and wide in his fielding posture but glove sets down early and fields it clean and out front with slight stab at times. Gets to his spots on time while working through his backhand and forehand well. Showed the ability to make accurate throws on the run. Used a shorter arm action that got off accurate throws across with above avg. strength for his level (87 mph). At the plate, operates in a more spread stance and uses a simple/small stride. Hands load back a bit and wrap the barrel behind his head into launch. Showed decent quickness to the hands, especially a strong top hand. Barrel path worked more short-to-long through the zone. Inconsistent barrel feel throughout the round but when on-time it was loud fly-ball barrels into each gap, flashing some quality impact and the ability to backspin it. On the mound, worked exclusively from the stretch and showed a simple operation down the mound. Belt high lift that works straight up/down. Works on-line with his lower-half with a shorter stride but rotates quick into foot plant. Showed a shorter arm action out the back that hides it a bit and works up to a normal 3/4 slot with above avg. armspeed for his level. Worked fast and pounded zone with his mid 80s, T87 fastball that had decent carry through and got whiffs over barrels. Mixed in a low 70s SL that showed short/tight shape and that got some buckled takes against RHHs. Outstanding student. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
