Ashton Fricks is a 2028 RHP/UT with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Pikeville, NC who attends Charles B Aycock. Medium build with plenty of room to get stronger. Works from a side step delivery on the mound with a high front side coming down the mound, high 3/4's arm slot, swings his front leg around and lands open on his front side. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with some running life. Also threw an upper 60's curveball and a firm straight change. 7.57 runner in the sixty. Worked out both in the infield and outfield, showed better athleticism and actions in the outfield, worked through the ball with some bounce in his step. Right handed hitter, has a short stride into his swing with a short path through the ball, line drive swing plane and gets the barrel on plane early, middle of the field contact. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
