Albert (AJ) Vanegas is a 2010 RHP with a 6'3'', 205 lb. frame from Alameda, CA who attends Redwood Christian HS. Strong build, fairly mature. Slow paced leg raised delivery, accelerates to plate, fast arm, stays balanced. Steady 90-93 mph fastball, explosive life at plate, throws FB's to spots, seperate curveball/slider breaks, CB is hard and sharp, definite out pitch, SL has good depth, flatter break. Throws strikes, works with a purpose. Early draft prospect. Outstanding student. Aflac All-American.
