2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Cam Williams is a 2026 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 225 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends Garner Magnet. Large frame with plenty of mass, functional strength and time to refine overall athleticism. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.83 seconds. Primary position infielder, with a power oriented corner-infielder skill set. Methodical footwork with emerging first step quickness making plays. Works the glove out front and at the midline with deeper funnel and clean transfer. Solid feeds across the diamond up to 81 mph with good accuracy. Reps at 1B as well with similar actions. Showed the ability to change slots on throws based on the needs of the play. Looks comfortable around the bag and has a feel for this spot. Switch-hitter working from a wide base from the left side with a lower-handset and creating whip of the barrel with loose wrists and strong hands. Turns hard thought he core, plenty of torque and gets the ball in the air with ease. Real pull side juice, launching a few into the trees during his BP round. Ball jumps off barrel when on time and barrel control is evident. From the right side, similar setup and displays the ability to get extended through impact. Challenging the wall once again from this side as he elevates and launches. A few misses on the bottom of the ball but it is justified with his power from both sides of the dish. Real offensive projection here with an idea of what he is from an offensive standpoint. Middle of the order stick and will stick at a corner with the glove. Elite performer in the classroom as well.
