2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (June 21)
Kason Wilson is a 2027 1B/RHP/C with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Dahlonega, GA who attends Dawson County. Good looking projectable frame with present strength and a lot of time to refine overall athleticism. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.54 seconds. Primary position 1B, sitting back and working through the reps methodically. Emerging feel for the spot, firmer hand action that can be refined with time and repetition. Arm strength is still ahead of him, building throws up to 72 mph across the diamond. RHH working from a wider base and stiffer overall start with the hands. Minimal action out of the lower-half currently and really works the hands to deliver the barrel to the ball. Stays tall through impact, takes a steeper path to impact and showed juice to the pull side with hard line drives. When on time, did damage and there is real projection offensively here. Outstanding student as well.
