Luke Williams is a 2026 C/1B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Parker, CO, who attends Chaparral. Medium lean build with room to keep filling out and adding strength moving forward. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. A primary catcher who has an even and open stance, showing a feel for a right-knee down setup as well throughout his round of defensive work. He had a higher transfer working out of the crouch with a compact arm action at release. The throws were higher out of the hand and carried well down to second. He was accurate in the air and around the tag zone. His footwork was on-line and direct with the bag. Threw 67 mph down to second base with a 2.19 pop time during his round of throws. Williams is a right-handed hitter with a medium base and squared stance, using a leg lift trigger to get on time and work through the zone. He has a slightly uphill bat path with some speed through the zone to connect and drive it. He turns and pulls the barrel through, working to the pull-side part of the field during BP for his best results. He was rotational with the upper half and had some lift in the swing that showed during BP. He produced some base hits in-game and was able to find a couple of barrels. Good student.
