2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (26-27 Grads)
Landon Makinster is a 2026 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Branson, MO who attends Reeds Spring. Athletic medium build with some present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, sets up in an upright and narrow stance with a short hand pump and leg raise load, deep hands create some length, uses his lower half well to create torque, has some bat speed and extension through contact, can be more consistent getting the barrel out front, projectable hitting tools. 7.48 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, moves to the ball well and carries momentum into his throws, has an idea on his footwork, throws from an over the top arm slot with some carry to his throws. Also worked out at first base and showed solid athleticism and clean glove work at that position. Took a turn on the mound, worked from a full wind up with a side step start and a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with big running life. Change up was firm with good arm speed and some running and sink as well. Also threw a slider that had some two plane shape and depth. Has the pitches to get hitters out when he's in the zone. Good student.
