Hernandez is an outstanding catcher without the outstanding tools you would expect. His pop times are very good 1.84 although his arm strength is average. Receiving is his major strength-he is perhaps as good as any catcher in high school baseball. His hitting is decent to above average. He hits line drives to all fields. We think he will develop into a fine pro catcher and an excellent hitter. He has great feel for the game and plays hard. He's a winner and plays a position where winners are important.
