Matt Mareno is a 2025 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Saline, MI who attends Saline. Primary right-handed pitcher with a solid frame and strong lower-half build. Recorded a 7.29 second 60-yard dash time. Stretch only from first base side of the rubber. Belt-high lift with a full arm swing behind to a 3/4 arm slot release. Fluid arm action direct to plate with fastball up to 81 mph (2024 RPM) and curveball 67 mph (1985 RPM). Flashed a changeup at 71 mph (1413 RPM) to complete his three-pitch mix. Increased velocity in the future with a stronger leg drive sinking into his backside before getting down the slope with a feel for three pitches. Secondary first baseman with a clean two-hand funnel out front and quick arm action on throws. Solid footwork moving around the bag with throws across the diamond at 78 mph. Right-handed hitter with an upright stance and toe-tap trigger. Busy hand movements with load into swing and loose barrel control. Excellent student.
