Eli Shappee is a 2026 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Aurora, CO who attends Regis Jesuit. Very projectable frame with present size and lean strength, more on the way. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, stretch only from the third base side of the rubber, hands set at the belt and work through a belt high lift inline down the slope, flashed a slidestep, medium depth arm circle, creates slight crossfire angle on footstrike, arm can be late, firm life to the four seam that got up to 80-mph, sparsely used change piece, sharp curveball with good spin flashed as well, lower spin profile but projects overall. Secondary first baseman, strong build shows here, dropped slot across the diamond, arm strength shows across, quick feet working off the bag, clean round, handled it well. Left-handed hitter, very narrow base with big stride forward, some loft, high back elbow, rotational, can cut off the swing, whole fields approach, things to like in the swing when extended and lower half is involved. Well rounded player who will continue to improve across the board. Outstanding student. Named to the 2024 Colorado Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
