Stephen Perez is a 2009 MIF with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Gulliver Prep. Perez has a lean athletic build and he is a very polished switch hitting MIF. Very agile and showed quick feet on the field. Solid SS actions with good quick arm, fields ball with easy fluid actions. Showed good first step quickness, but didn't run the 60 at the Metrodome. Longer more powerful swing from the left side, more balanced and compact swing from the right side, good contact hitter with gap to gap approach. Aggressive smart runner on bases and simply an outstanding player. Good student.
