Axel Hammerschmidt is a 2025 SS/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Grand Rapids, MI who attends East Grand Rapids. Long medium build with time to fill out the levers. Ran a 6.74 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, longer arm action, developing accuracy across the diamond, high intent round, clean gather out front, athletic mover, quick feet. Secondary outfielder, low slot, quick transfer out of the glove during the crow hop, natural and in sync process, solid round with accurate throws to the bag. Right-handed hitter, even and upright stance, tight high hands, inward trigger, bars some, small leg lift and stride out for timing and weight transfer, rotates hard, clears hips, level swing with some barrel control, developing impact. Time to add size and strength that will aid entire toolset across the board, athletic player with solid actions. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
