Edrian Chao is a 2028 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-6 132 lb. frame from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA who attends Palos Verdes Peninsula. Primary Shortstop, features an athletic, developing frame. Shows glove, moves with urgency to the ball, fielding off the front foot and working through the baseball. Good glove to the backhand with an accurate, developing arm across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a three-pitch mix that includes fastball, curveball and changeup. Fundamentally sound mechanics throwing out of an over the top arm slot. Fastball runs tot he glove side, coupled with an eleven-five breaking ball that he locates effectively. Even base at the plate with a slightly open stance and a leg lift trigger. Bat path stays level with developing bat speed and barrel control. Stays connected with backside rotation, with an opposite field approach.
