Casey Gibson is a 2011 SS/3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Cypress Lake HS. Medium framed, solid athletic strength. Right elbow tendinitis, did not throw or play in field in games, participated in all drills and hit in games. 6.88 runner, moves very balanced and easily at shortstop, nice actions, soft quick hands, looked to be high level fielder without seeing throwing arm. Slightly open stance, stays open, uses upper body strength well, quick swing with bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard, has some gap power. Outstanding student.
