Ben Yoss is a 2026 C/UT with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Verona, WI, who attends Verona Area. He's a taller kid with a slender frame and medium build. Ran a 7.75 60-yard dash. He's a primary catcher who worked out at the position. He had a shorter release with a higher flight on his throws down to second base. He gained some ground well and had clean footwork working out of the crouch. There was feel for the transfer as well as he produced a 70 mph velocity on his throws down to second with a 2.06 pop time. He also worked out in the outfield, fielding it well off the front foot with some athletic footwork on the approach. He showed a longer atm action here with accuracy to the bag. He threw 76 mph from the outfield during his reps out there. Took reps on the infield as well, with good range working laterally. He had some athleticism with his footwork and made accurate throws across the diamond. He threw 73 mph during his round and recorded all the outs. A right-handed hitter with a more upright, narrow base with slightly bent knees. He used higher-set hands and a high back elbow, toe-tapping into contact to stay on time for pitches. He worked through contact with some strength to impact when he was on time. He was rotational in the front side, opening up and turning hard as he was looking to pull the ball. He had a shorter swing and was more direct to contact. Good student.
