Zion Lang is a 2028 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Charleston, WV who attends George Washington. Tall and lean young build, stands out physically for his age. Has a nice low effort delivery with plus extension down mound into release from a high 3/4's arm slot, has some coordination and ability to repeat for his size and age. Fastball was in the upper 70's and topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight. Showed some feel for his change up with some fade and deception. Still developing feel for his release slot and arm speed on his breaking ball. Will be fun to watch develop as he matures physically on the mound. 7.59 runner in the sixty. Worked out in the infield during drills but has a future at first base when he's not pitching. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight bent knee stance with a short downhill swing. Excellent student. Named to the Ohio Valley Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
