2023 Coastal Workout Showcase  
Aaron Smith is a 2027 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Simpsonville, SC who attends Hillcrest High School. Medium frame with current musculature and good actions with a lot of time for further development. Primary position IF, with younger actions working through good angles and basic glove work at this point. Bends at waist to field and will learn to get into legs with time. Showed some first step quickness and works with deeper midline transfer to get to throws. Lower arm angle making throws up to 72 mph across the diamond. Reps in the OF as well, working the glove out front to deep funnel and full deep arm path to the same lower slot. RHH working with a wide and open start and segmented operation at this point. Turns the front side in to load and uses quiet lower-half mechanics. Aggressive to the ball and when on time and in the middle of the field showed best impact. Swing gets a bit steep at times but with time will get on plane more consistently and will see a jump in power. Very good student as well.
