Timothy Negron is a 2025 C/3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Miami, FL. Medium frame with lean current build and wiry strength that plays well. Some twitch to his actions and ran the 60 yard dash in 7.10 seconds. Primary position catcher, starting with a bit of a higher initial setup and gaining ground through transfer. Secures the ball well with the glove, a bit stabbing movement at times but can refine with time. Arm strength is evident and is a high level tool for sure. Feeds down to second up to 80 mph and an impressive pop-time best 1.89 seconds. RHH working from a balanced stance and good handset with the barrel of the bat starting flat over the shoulder. Strength evident here creating quick hands and strength at impact. On-plane path to the ball, firms up nicely over front leg getting him to launch. Consistent deep fly balls and hard line drives in the middle of the field. Refreshingly natural and unrefined swing mechanics as he just gets the barrel to the ball. Offensive catcher profile who is an exceptional student as well.
