Joseph Schertzer is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-4 221 lb. frame from Grand Haven, MI who attends Grand Haven. Tall high waisted athletic build, good present strength. Works from a side step delivery with drop and drive mechanics down the mound, gets downhill with some extension out front, over the top arm slot with some arm speed. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, mostly straight with occasional life. Curveball has some downer sharpness with good arm speed and power. Also threw a mid-70's change up and did a good job killing spin and creating deception. Good bet to add velocity and continue to improve. Good student. Named to the PG Indianapolis Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
