Alex Sartor is a 2025 C/RHP/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Verona, WI who attends Verona Area. Primary C with a lean and athletic frame with good length and size. One knee setup out of the crouch. Gets it out from a higher slot and gets out of the crouch athletically. Showed good hands and receives it deep. has a strong arm and was accurate with his throws. Will just need to speed up the transfer and release process. Still recorded a 1.95 pop time and was up to 77 from behind the dish showing good idea with arm strength. Also played infield and fielded everything cleanly. Works to his backhand well. Clean 2 hand gather and funnel to chest working up the middle. Showed some latera range with footwork and could change slot well. Was up to 82 from across the diamond. Ran a 7.30 sixty. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Is quick to the plate and creates tough angles out the hand with some deception in his delivery. Release got inconsistent at times but still showed good ability to really pitch. Fastball worked up to 80 with subtle late tailing life. Curve with healthy 10-4 shape. Slider showed more sweep to it. Projects well off the bump but will need to be more consistent throwing strikes and maintaining a consistent release point. Right-handed hitter with an upright base and low handset. Small leg lift and stride into contact from a coiled hand load. Clean level swing path with a good upper half rotation. Swing is very handsy and barrel lags behind body at times. Still could impact it and catch it out front to pull well.
