Christopher Lamb is a 2008 LHP with a 5'11'', 150 lb. frame from Berkeley, CA who attends Berkeley HS. He has an average frame and a lanky build, though he is not long bodied. Lamb is a very good pitcher who attacks the zone. He is confident, has feel of four pitches, with quality stuff that will continue to evolve as he physically develops. Lamb has a long arm with some arm speed. He has some backside stab extension and works from an over the top slot, eventually getting to decent frontside extension. His fastball was 79-82 mph with some run and he showed the ability to pound the arm side. He spins a 68 mph curveball and 74 mph slider well and both have good biting action down in the zone. Lamb's best pitch is changeup (73 mph) that at times was flat out filthy. His feel for his secondary stuff is what really sets Lamb apart from most other pitchers his age. It was fun to watch him work. Even if he did not gain one more mph he can pitch at the D1 level. However, we see him getting to the mid-80s at some point.
