Aaron Katz is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-2 194 lb. frame from Westmont, IL who attends Hinsdale Central. Big and strong broad shouldered athletic build. Primary right handed pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch from the first base side of the rubber, long and flowing arm action with a 3/4's arm slot, can use his front side and lower half more to create drive and torque to his mechanics. Fastball was mostly in the upper 70's and topped out at 81 mph with some sinking action, threw his fastball consistently to the glove side. Soft curveball had nice 11/5 depth and landed for strikes at any point in the count Right handed hitter, sets up open with a high hand load, flashed strength in his swing, inconsistent getting his barrel into the zone on time. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Secondary first baseman on defense, showed good arm strength, fielded the ball cleanly out front, can quicken his release on his throws. Outstanding student.
