Liam Lau is a 2028 C/RHP, UT with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Naperville, IL who attends Naperville Central. Long and lean build with lots of physical projection ahead. 8.06 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, developing footwork on defense, stands straight up to throw, long arm action with developing arm strength, will keep improving with repetitions and fundamentals. Right handed hitter, hits from high hand stance with a narrow base, upper body rotational swing, will need to learn how to incorporate more lower half into his swing. Also pitched, side step delivery with on line mechanics to the plate, 3/4's arm action with some extension out front, pretty smooth delivery. Threw fastballs with mid 60's velocity, challenged hitters and pitched to contact. Flashed a rare soft curveball. Good student.
