Alec Zeller is a 2028 OF/ with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Harwinton, CT who attends Lewis S. Mills. Lean, lanky frame with plenty of room and time to physically mature. Recorded a 7.63 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with a developing defensive skill set and things to project on moving forward. Comes and gets the baseball with good pace, gathers cleanly and transitions into release with some momentum. Produced fairly accurate throws up to 73 mph during drills. Right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Slightly coiled leg lift into balance, shorter stride out to foot strike and compact arm stroke. Fastball worked mostly in the upper-60s and topped out at 71 from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Strike thrower with command to both sides of the plate, mixed in slower, gradual breaking ball that will continue to improve with additional velocity and proper mechanical refinements. Took part in the infield portion of the defensive workout as well, where showed deliberate footwork to range laterally and a slightly deeper funnel to field. recorded fairly accurate throws up to 70 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, open stance with exaggerated high hands and hanging leg lift trigger. Contact oriented stroke with slight drift into contact, middle-to-opposite field approach due to slightly downhill swing path and developing feel for the barrel. Displayed consistent contact, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Projectable, young prospect with physical upside. Excellent Student.
