Nickolas Gunther is a 2027 RHP/3B, OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from West Bloomfield, MI who attends West Bloomfield. Primary right-handed pitcher with a medium sized frame. Works form the wind-up with a leg kick below the belt. Longer arm action with a clean release and clean arm path through the back. Throws from a standard 3/4 slot with some quickness in the arm. Fastball had some natural cut to it and was up to 77. Mixed in a slider with good depth and could land it at times with slurvy action. Also went to a splitter with good straight dropping depth. Also played infield moving well laterally and got to balls well. Has a clean 2-hand gather with a smooth funnel. Profiles better on the corner. has a long transfer and release but throws had good strength behind them with some accuracy and was up to 81 across the diamond. Also ran a 8.57 sixty. Right-handed hitter with a narrow base and high handset. Elbow starts slightly tucked. Has some coil with the load and swings with intent. Able to get the weight out on his front side and can impact it up the middle. Good student.
