2025 PG Class of 2028 All-American Games
Jack Simpson is a 2028 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Andover, MN who attends Andover. Big and strong build. Works from a short side step wind up with a simple set of mechanics and a slow pace, early turn into his coil, compact arm action with a short on-line stride down the mound, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball was in the mid-80's and topped out at 86 mph with nice sink and run. Change up was a solid pitch to left handed hitters, featured a short slider to right handed hitters with some shape and bite. Threw strikes with all his pitches. Secondary first baseman on defense, has some one-step athleticism around the bag, good footwork, longer arm action with some good arm strength. Also worked out in the outfield but is best off at first base. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow and tall stance with a low hand load, small leg raise with some drift into contact, short swing that cuts itself off out front, can get more extension to get to his strength and power potential. Named to the PG Class of 2028 All-American Games Top Prospect List.
