Austin Stadler is a 2008 1B/P/OF with a 6'2'', 195 lb. frame from Midlothian, VA who attends James River HS. He has very good maturity and strength for his age. Stadler's often considered a two-way prospect by scouts/coaches and for the college level that works. He is a finesse lefthander on the mound with a loose arm and medium effort delivery that produces an 86-87 mph fastball. He has good command of his CB/Chg and knows how to pitch. His best tool is his bat. Stadler has quick/smooth hands in his swing and can drive the ball to all fields. He's a confident hitter who is looking to jump on pitches and hit them with power. Stadler's best position is in the outfield, as he struggled at first base with some basic skills. He's an excellent student who has committed to Wake Forest.
