Dane McFarland is a 2013 OF with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Laguna Niguel, CA who attends JSerra Catholic HS. Outstanding athletic build, long and lean with quick twitch strength. 6.50 runner, long easy strides. Right handed hitter, spread stance, long extended swing, very loose and extended, whistles the barrel, very good raw bat speed, ball jumps hard, hits the ball out front, has some length and expands the strike zone but very high level hitting tools. Power/Speed combination could be dynamic. Good student, verbal commitment to Oregon.
