2013 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Jared Melone is a 2015 3B/1B, OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from North Wales, PA who attends North Penn. Large, athletic frame with room to fill out. Ran a 7.27 60 yard dash. Accurate throws across the infield, maintains body control, and shows some arm strength across the diamond. Needs to work on footwork around first base, but has good hands and handles throws well. Right handed batter who starts with a low hand set and a slightly open base with a pull side approach. Uppercut bat path, has gap-to-gap power and strength in swing. Interesting tools with the bat that will continue to develop. Very good student.
