Jason Reyes is a 2013 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends All Hallows. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Ran a 6.76 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth, athletic footwork while ranging to and surrounding the baseball. Funnels from a slightly deeper position with very quick hands while working through exchange. Flashed the ability to change arm angles and throw while on the run with accuracy, topped at 91 miles per hour across the infield. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Rotational lower half actions to contact. Direct, compact path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Stayed behind contact well and primarily worked to the middle of the field through batting practice. Created some lift when working out front and turning the barrel to contact. Also pitched showing a very simple side step to medium leg lift. Stays balanced at gather, swing front side some while working to the plate but lands in line and carries momentum through finish. Released from a low to mid three-quarters arm slot with a fastball offering that had good running life in the mid to upper 80's, topped at 89 miles per hour. Curveball had 9/4 shape with solid spin and sweep to glove side. Flashed sharper bite and tilt when working in the higher velocity band. Primarily looked to fill the strike zone with occasional feel to the outside edge of the plate. Named to the 2017 National Pre-Draft Top Prospect List.
