Luke Alexander is a 2015 SS/2B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Belmont, MS who attends Belmont HS. Young slender athletic build, very projectable physically. 6.96 runner, light on his feet defensively, loose easy actions with range and balance, works through the ball well, short quick arm action with very good arm strength and carry. Has all the ability to be a top level defensive middle infielder for a long time. Switch hitter, sound fundamental swing especially left handed, uses his lower half well left handed, loose easy swing with good balance, swing a bit longer right handed, lacks present strength from both sides at present but projects and will keep improving as he gets stronger. Defense will carry for now and into the future. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi State.
