Joey Hennessey is a 2016 RHP/SS with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Coconut Creek, FL who attends Monarch HS. Large, well-proportioned frame with lean, athletic build, plenty of room to fill out. Ran a 7.17 60-yard dash. Left handed hitter, wide base with slightly open setup. Low hands set, shows good bat speed and efficient, compact swing path. Pull-oriented approach, strength plays well there, can get extended and impact the baseball with natural loft, carry off of the barrel, could use more lower half to create further power. Good footwork in the infield, has a long, loose arm-action that should play well off of the mound. Varies arm slots, shows good body control, solid play on a slow roller. Very good student.
